Our Club The Austin Golden Retriever Club is supported by a diverse group of people, united by their love for their Goldens and sharing their life and activities with them. Club members are active in many activities with their Golden Retrievers whether it be field activities, obedience, conformation, agility, hiking, pet therapy, or just hanging out. As an AKC club the objects of the Club are to do all that is possible to preserve and perfect the natural qualities of the pure-bred Golden Retriever, urge members and breeders to accept the standard of the breed as approved by the AKC and to protect and advance the interests of the breed by encouraging sportsmanlike conduct at dog events and to conduct sanctioned and licensed specialty shows, agility trials, and field trials. There are 3 types of memberships open to all persons who are in good standing with the AKC:
Meetings are held on the 3rd Wednesday of the month in the Greater Austin Area.
